Liquid
Starting with the most precise and difficult type of eyeliner to apply, but it is also perhaps the most rewarding. Liquid liner applies very smoothly and you only need a small amount of product to create a thin line that will make your eyes pop and eyelashes appear thicker. Kohl Pencil
Without a doubt, the pencil eyeliner is the most commonly used and easiest to apply. Used by beginners and experts, this product is great for when you want to draw attention to your eyes, but are either in a hurry or haven’t quite mastered the on fleek winged look! Pencil eyeliners come in many different colours and now they are made creamier so the product glides on much easier. Kohl pencils are easy to control and feel kinder on your eyes than a traditional pencil. Gel
Somewhere between a pencil and a liquid liner, this specific type is growing in popularity with MUA’s and makeup users. Gel liner commonly comes in a little pot and should be applied with a small, slanted brush to create thin or thick lines. It’s not as difficult to apply as a liquid liner and the creamy texture means it is easy to smudge along the lash line which is great if you want a smokey eye. This is the perfect liner if you want to go for a fierce, glam lewk and you can even create a small flick to sharpen it up.

Final tip:
You can use eyeshadow, yes eyeshadow, instead of eyeliner if you want to use an array of colours or just want a simple smokey eye. Wet a brush (we recommend dipping the tip into some setting spray for extra stay power!) and dab into an eyeshadow of your choice and apply along the lash line. This is great for highlighting your eye colour and to use as an everyday look. Alternatively, you can use traditional eyeliner as a base and apply a coloured eyeshadow on top to make your eyes stand out, this will also cause the eyeshadow to stay put for longer.
